Research & Development Manager
Reports to:
Principal Manufacturing Executive or Chief Executive
Primary Objectives:
Devise and manage research and technical development programs in accordance with approved policies to maintain and improve the quality and safety of the company’s products.
Main Accountabilities:
- Oversee the company’s quality testing program of raw materials and finished products and recommend and implement improvements.
- Identify technical problems throughout the process and suggest methods to overcome such difficulties.
- Ensure technical staff are informed of developments in their fields of expertise, including regulative and legislative changes.
- Establish and maintain records of formulae, processes and product specification standards.
- Review quality specifications annually and advise technical and manufacturing staff of any changes.
Matching Indicators:
Relevant scientific or engineering degree, possibly with advanced qualifications, with a minimum ten years research experience.
