Laboratory Manager
Reports to:
Technical Manager, Quality Assurance Manager or Research & Development Manager
Primary Objectives:
Plan and direct the work of chemists, analysts and microbiologists to ensure the successful development and testing of products meet company objectives for quality.
Main Accountabilities:
- Allocate work to technical staff to ensure targets are met and to extend the skills of staff.
- Review laboratory work and prepare progress reports.
- Recommend the addition, expansion or discontinuation of projects.
- Ensure the application of sound scientific principles in research, laboratory and pilot plant work.
- Propose budgets for equipment and consumables.
Matching Indicators:
Three – four year degree and eight – ten years experience.
