Experienced Design Engineer                                                

Reports to:

Project Manager, Section Engineering Manager or Chief Engineer

Primary Objectives:

Plan and co-ordinate complex engineering design assignments involving technical specifications and detailed planning and a degree of innovation.

Main Accountabilities:

• Recommend design project plans in terms of methods, cost, time schedules and staffing requirements.
• Supervise drafting staff and supply them with information necessary to produce detailed drawings.
• Carry out the site inspections and liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design.
• Attend to the technical aspects of request for quotations and technical literature.

Matching Indicators:

Tertiary qualifications and at least seven years experience.
