Warehouse & Distribution Manager                                       

Reports to:

Principal Marketing, Manufacturing or Divisional Manager

Primary Objectives:

Manage and control warehouse and distribution activities to ensure the efficient and cost effective utilisation of facilities for storing raw material and distributing finished goods.

Main Accountabilities:

• Collect and interpret information on present and future sales volumes and production scheduling to plan warehousing and distribution programs. 
• Evaluate shipping deadlines and take corrective action to eliminate back orders.
• Plan and co-ordinate the transfer of finished goods from warehouses within the company, to customers.
• Arrange for the return of defective material.
• Select, supervise and train warehouse staff.
