IT Operations Supervisor                                                                     

Reports to:

IT Operations Manager or Systems Manager

Primary Objectives:

Supervise and coordinate the operation of the computer processing centre including the activities of operations staff engaged in data preparation, scheduling and the operation of computers.

Main Accountabilities:

• Supervise and train computer operators in their specific areas of responsibility.
• Recommend improvements to Operations Centre programs and procedures.
• Assist in preparation of budgets and ensuring expenditure is within budget.
• Coordinate and schedule computer resources for optimum utilisation.

Matching Indicators:

At least five years operating experience using similar computers and systems as well as limited experience in supervision.
